On the Border -International Conference

The cities of Haparanda (Sweden) and Tornio (Finland) together with their partners Norrbotten Chamber of Commerce (Sweden) and Lapland Chamber of Commerce (Finland), are hosting the On the Border – Sustainable Transport & Mobility Conference on October 2 – 3, 2019. The daytime conference will be held at Mustaparta Grand Hotel, Hallituskatu 7, 954 00 TORNIO, FINLAND. The evening program will be held in Haparanda, Sweden.

The purpose of the 2-day conference is to focus on the current logistical issues involving sustainable transportation and mobility up to Northern Scandinavia and Finland while promoting cooperation between border cities and regions for easy access. How will any political decisions made concerning the TEN-T core network and/or The New Silk Road affect us? The goal is also to create networks and meetings that help to cross borders both mentally and actually, as well as increase vitality and confidence in the border regions.
